Hands

Christ has no hands but ours. We are the body of Christ. Our hands serve, heal, help and hold. Let us always use our hands for good.

Hands, reach out in service. Hands care for the world in which we live. Hands caress, hands dig in the dirt, hands type, and strum, and play! Hands stitch and cook. Hands carve and create. Hands offer help. Hands lift and carry. Hands comfort and clean. Hands are incredible.

Hands of every shape and size embrace the world and one another. We offer our hands in service to our Lord and pray for guidance as we reach out to spread the love of Christ to others.

Praying hands, palm to palm, help us to feel the divine energy pulsing within us. When our hands are close together in prayer, we do not busy ourselves with the many tasks on our "do lists." Instead, we focus our spirits on greater things. Hands that are still help us to center and be open to the presence of God.

Open hands are ready to receive the splendor and glory of God. May we always be receptive to the grace that is being offered to us. Alleluia! Amen.
